Biography of Belinda Gehlert - the Zephyr Quartet

Belinda Gehlert

Belinda holds degrees in both classical and jazz performance from the University of Adelaide. She has worked for a wide variety of ensembles, including the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, the Adelaide Art Orchestra, ACME Jazz Unit and the Ruby Frost String Quartet. Belinda is an accomplished composer and improviser and has written music for theatre and dance, working with companies such as Patch Theatre, Doppio Paralello and Restless Dance. In 2006 she has been commissioned by The Firm to write for the Langbein String Quartet. Belinda is in demand as a recording artist and arranger, and features on many locally produced CD’s.
